My name is Heather Chapman, and I am a certified Wilson Dyslexia Therapist with over twenty years of teaching experience. I believe that every child can learn to read when paired with a highly trained instructor and a high-quality Structured Literacy program like the Wilson Reading System.
The Wilson Reading System is an evidence-based, multi-sensory approach grounded in Orton-Gillingham research. This structured, systematic method provides students with the tools they need to become confident, capable readers.
I am committed to meeting your child where they are and helping them build the confidence and skills necessary to achieve literacy. At the heart of my work is the belief that every child has unique strengths and inherent value. My goal is to equip your child with the foundational skills needed to access grade-level standards so they can fully engage in learning and focus on their strengths.

Our summer academic camp supports rising K–6th graders with learning differences, including dyslexia and ADHD, by enhancing and continuing academic growth in a supportive, engaging environment. This 5-week program provides a multi-sensory approach that strengthens literacy, math, and executive function skills to support the whole child’s academic growth and confidence.
This program is an opportunity for students to strengthen essential skills, build meaningful confidence, and experience the joy of learning in a supportive environment. ❋ Wilson Reading System Instruction Students will receive daily instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Students will be grouped based on their needs. ❋ Math Instruction Students will work on foundational math skills in small groups. Lessons will be multi-sensory and focus on building strong number sense and problem solving skills. ❋ Excecutive Function Skills Through structured routines, guided practice, and supportive coaching, students will strengthen skills such as organization, planning, time management, flexible thinking, and self-regulation—building the independence and confidence needed for academic success.
